First PEM electrolyzer plates machined on the Kelantan floor. Foundation of vertical integration.
Limpahan
From PEMEL "Darul Hana" shipped in September 2022 to the HyPEReactor deployments at Pos Tibang and Kg Tekam — Limpahan executes the precision manufacturing layer of Malaysia's hydrogen economy. A six-phase plan from plate machining today to global hydrogen system export by 2030.
Cell-stack visualisation shown above is representative. Production geometry varies by customer specification. Detailed drawings under NDA.
Limpahan executes the precision manufacturing layer of PETRONAS's hydrogen generation programme — compression plates, bipolar plates, current collectors, machined manifolds, and welded chassis — shipped from Kelantan with full traceability.
That work transformed Limpahan's positioning. The same floor that produces aerospace-grade precision components now produces the physical infrastructure of Malaysia's hydrogen supply chain.
Limpahan collaborates with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) on PEM fuel cell upgrades — translating laboratory-scale research into manufacturable geometry. Academic hydrogen expertise paired with an industrial floor capable of shipping the designs.
This is what Malaysian green-energy research needs to scale: not another whitepaper, but a shop floor able to take a UKM prototype and ship fifty of them.

Malaysia's national hydrogen ambition only becomes real when domestic manufacturers can build the hardware. Limpahan's role is clear: the precision manufacturing partner making hydrogen infrastructure inside Malaysia, for Malaysian demand, employing Malaysian machinists.
The strategic roadmap from current capability to becoming a regional hydrogen system exporter. Each phase compounds — today's plate machining is tomorrow's electrolyzer assembly is the next decade's hydrogen generation systems.
First PEM electrolyzer plates machined on the Kelantan floor. Foundation of vertical integration.
Domestic platinum coating capability — eliminates imported coating dependency for bipolar plates.
Full stack assembly of both proton and anion exchange platforms.
In-house MEA production — the catalytic core of every electrolyzer cell.
Turn-key hydrogen generation systems shipped to Malaysian off-takers and industrial customers.
Export-ready hydrogen generation systems — positioning Malaysia as a regional exporter.
Verified deliveries from Limpahan's hydrogen programme — PEM electrolyzers shipped, reactors deployed, fuel-cell assemblies in development.
Total development including DfM and DfC. Code-named "Darul Hana" — a sovereign-engineering milestone delivered from Kelantan.
Iteration on the first platform with improved DfM and DfC — validates the manufacturing playbook for repeatable hydrogen output.
Bipolar fuel-cell plate platform for AEMWE / PEMFC stack assemblies. Demonstrates flexibility across both electrolyzer and fuel-cell sides of the hydrogen economy.
Total development of DfM, DfC, and product design for NanoMalaysia. Field deployment at Pos Tibang — full reactor R&D translated to production-grade hardware.
Second NanoMalaysia HyPEReactor deployment at Kg Tekam — replicates the Pos Tibang platform with field-learned refinements.
High-precision compression plate for PEMEL stack assemblies — the structural component holding stack-stack pressure tolerances under hydrogen-cycle service.
Three flagship hydrogen projects, each built end-to-end on the Kelantan floor — from design-for-manufacture through assembly to field deployment.
Malaysia's first 1 MW PEM electrolyzer, code-named "Darul Hana". Total development scope: DfM, DfC, machining, assembly, and final integration. Shipped September 2022 — less than 27 months after Limpahan's incorporation in June 2020.
Hydrogen reactor commercialization in partnership with NanoMalaysia. Total scope: DfM, DfC, and product design. Two field deployments — Pos Tibang first, then Kg Tekam with field-learned refinements. Translates reactor R&D into production-grade hardware.
Integrated solar-hydrogen energy system. Combines solar PV, hydrogen storage, fuel cell, electrolyzer, water maker, and battery into a single deployable container. Dual hydrogen production (PEM + NaBH₄ reactor). 10 kW continuous, 24 hours a day, deployable anywhere in Malaysia within 24 hours.
An integrated solar-hydrogen energy system for Malaysia's sustainable and resilient power future. 10 kW of continuous clean electricity, 24 hours a day, in a single deployable container — for industry, disaster response, or rural electrification.
Pilot-scale design, development, and deployment. Delivers uninterrupted 24-hour clean electricity up to 10 kW. Evaluates techno-economic performance and life-cycle carbon emissions, positioning Malaysia as a pioneer in hybrid solar-hydrogen technology.
Combines solar PV, hydrogen storage, fuel cell, electrolyzer, water maker, and battery into a single container — uninterrupted 24-hour clean energy.
Deployable in 24 hGreen hydrogen from a solar-powered PEM electrolyzer and on-demand hydrogen from a NaBH₄ reactor — redundancy without compromise.
Redundancy & ReliabilityMulti-stage stabilization: PV → immediate load, PV → BESS, PV → electrolyzer (H₂ production), H₂ → fuel cell. Continuous power regardless of weather.
Weather-ProofModular architecture deploys anywhere in Malaysia within 24 hours. Industrial use, disaster response, rural electrification — same hardware, different missions.
Modular · ScalableOn 13 July 2025, a senior delegation from the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation toured the Limpahan Kelantan facility to examine our hydrogen generation technology and engage directly with the engineering team.
