Limpahan Engineering was incorporated in June 2020, during the height of Malaysia's COVID-19 Movement Control Order. What began as a single HAAS spindle in Pengkalan Chepa is today a strategic partner in Malaysia's Hydrogen Technology and Economy Roadmap.
Kamarul Hafiz Muhamed founded Limpahan in the deepest quarter of the pandemic. The first HAAS spindle arrived in Pengkalan Chepa before most of the east coast had seen a precision vertical machining centre. The ambition, from day one, was not a workshop — but a precision manufacturer capable of serving oil & gas, aerospace, and eventually green hydrogen.
Five years on, the floor runs HAAS VF-2SE (×2), VF-6SS, ST-20Y, a Mazak 5-axis multi-tasking machine, Excetek wire EDM, plus Wenzel CMM, Zoller, and Okamoto for metrology — alongside additive 3D printing, 3D scanning, and fabrication. The Pengkalan Chepa manufacturing campus is complemented by an MRO yard at Tok Bali Supply Base.
The strategic pivot began in 2022 with the delivery of Malaysia's first 1 MW PEM electrolyzer (PEMEL "Darul Hana"). PETRONAS needed a local manufacturing partner. Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia sought a collaborator for their PEM fuel-cell programme. Limpahan's precision floor and willingness to engineer novel assemblies turned a generic CNC supplier into the first east-coast hydrogen-technology manufacturer.
Today Limpahan ships electrolyzer components for PETRONAS, has built two NanoMalaysia HyPEReactors at Pos Tibang and Kg Tekam, holds UKAS AS9100D certification (SIRIM 0074), and is developing the H2BRID solar-hydrogen mobile system for 2026.

Every aerospace dispatch ships with traceable Wenzel CMM reports. UKAS AS9100D is the formal aerospace credential; ISO 9001:2015 captures the underlying QMS spine.
Coolant reclamation, scrap segregation, and a deliberate move into hydrogen and solar-hybrid manufacturing — Limpahan's environmental commitment is operational, not aspirational. ISO 14001:2015 formalises it.
Every operator is trained on the spindle they run. PPE, lockout-tagout, and machine guarding are non-negotiable. ISO 45001:2018 makes explicit what the floor already lives.
The precision manufacturing floor. CNC machining centres, 5-axis Mazak, wire EDM, metrology, additive 3D printing, fabrication, and traceable QC under one roof. Sited for regional raw-material logistics and a Kelantan working week (Sun–Thu, 9am–6pm).
Maintenance, repair, and overhaul yard at Tok Bali Supply Base — equipment repair, system overhaul, refurbishment, and on-site installation, alignment, and commissioning. Close to East Coast oil & gas operators.
Three tiers: UKAS AS9100D for aerospace, the ISO IMS trio for quality / environmental / safety, and licenses backing PETRONAS, MIDA, and procurement work.
